The Spring 2026 semester will begin on Saturday, January 31. Parents are kindly reminded to register their child as soon as possible to secure a spot! 2. NYCS proudly launches its SHSAT Prep Course, designed for ambitious students aiming to enter one of NYC’s top three specialized high schools. The class is taught by an outstanding instructor who scored an impressive 598 on the SHSAT, graduated from a specialized high school, and is currently a graduate student at Columbia University's Department of East Asian Languages & Cultures. Classes take place every Saturday from 1:30 to 4:30 PM—seize this rare opportunity to take your first step toward academic excellence! 3. We kindly ask all parents to come to the school to make the payment and collect overdue items during the week before school starts. Please note that if this is not done, your child's registration will be automatically canceled. We appreciate your understanding. We ONLY accept Check or Money Order Payment! For high school graduates, it is 1000 dollars. The graduation funds were generously initiated by Eric Ng, former Chairman of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association and Chairman of New York Chinese School, founder of Wonton Food Ching Sun Wong and CEO Norman Wong. Our school has the longest history and the largest campus in North America. In addition to providing excellent professional teachers, it also prioritizes campus safety and environmental cleanliness. Abacus Federal Savings Bank’s founder, Attorney Thomas Sung, helped NYCS to be established as an absolute charter school. New York Chinese School hopes that NYCS students can give back to the school and communities in the future and wish that they would continue to promote the Chinese language as well as its culture.
