Dr. Xu did his residency in internal medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, the Albert Einstein College of Medicine after obtaining his Ph.D. Degree in Pharmacology at Dartmouth College, one of the Ivy League Colleges established 1769. Dr. Xu joined Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for Oncology & Hematology fellowship in 1997 and became a Board-certified specialist in 2000. Subsequently Dr. Xu served as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Medical Oncology & Hematology, Department of Medicine, State University of New York at Stony Brook where he sub-specialized in the head/neck and genitourinary cancers after several years of practice in general medical oncology including leukemia/lymphomas, breast cancer, colon cancer, and lung cancer. He was a principal investigator of many Cancer Treatment Clinical Trials. His works were widely recognized and featured in the national and regional conferences. Dr. Xu was an invited commentator and writer for Sing Tao Daily. He contributed to Sing Tao Daily to provide his experience regarding cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment and prevention.
