# Weather Guide for Chinese in Maine
Living in Maine has been quite the adventure, especially with the changes in weather throughout the year. From the beautiful snowy winters to the colorful autumns, I’ve learned a thing or two about dressing appropriately for the various seasons here.
Maine's Four Distinct Seasons
Maine experiences all four seasons quite vividly. Winters can be pretty harsh, especially if you’re in northern areas like Acadia National Park. Temperatures can dip down to -10 to -20 degrees Fahrenheit from November to March, so you’ll need to gear up with a heavy winter coat, warm scarf, and gloves.
Spring Bliss
Spring (March to May) brings a refreshing warmth. The temperature gradually rises, especially in southern areas like Portland, where it can reach above 60 degrees Fahrenheit. I love wearing lightweight jackets and long-sleeve shirts during this season. Plus, visiting farmers' markets, like the one in Portland, is a must to enjoy fresh produce and the vibrant spring atmosphere.

Summer Beach Fun
Summer (June to August) is the liveliest time in Maine. Coastal towns like Ogunquit become popular destinations. Temperatures can soar to around 80 degrees Fahrenheit, making it ideal for beach outings. I recommend wearing light t-shirts, shorts, and sandals, and don’t forget the sunscreen!

Fall Colors
Fall (September to November) is one of the most beautiful seasons in Maine, especially in areas like Camden where the hills are painted with vibrant colors. As temperatures start to drop, usually ranging from 40 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit, I find myself reaching for light sweaters and jackets.
