1. Fairmount
One of my favorite day trips is to Fairmount, only about 30 minutes from Denver. The entrance fee is around $10-$15, but if you’re like me and love hiking, there are plenty of free trails. Especially in the summer, pack a picnic basket and find a nice patch of grass to enjoy the sun. It’s truly a delight.

Another must-visit spot is Rocky Mountain National Park. It takes about 1.5 hours by car from Denver. The entry fee is around $30, which allows you to stay in your car for the whole day. You’ll see breathtaking mountain views and a variety of wildlife.
