Best Dim Sum Spots in Dallas

April 10, 2026·PandaListing 熊猫榜

Explore the best dim sum spots in Dallas, favored by the Chinese community for delicious early tea and snacks.

The Dim Sum Culture in Dallas

Living in Dallas has been such a delightful experience, especially when it comes to food. One of my absolute favorite activities is indulging in dim sum with friends on weekends. There’s nothing like starting the day with a table full of steaming dumplings and tea.

1. **Jin Wei Lou**

Located in **Richland**, Jin Wei Lou is a treasure among the Chinese community here in Dallas. Their shrimp dumplings and siu mai are simply delicious. Prices range from $5 to $8, which is pretty reasonable. One must-have dish for me is their egg tarts, flaky and creamy, not overly sweet—just perfect for that morning bite.

2. **Great China**

If you’re looking for a broader range of classic dim sum, **Great China** should be on your list. Situated in the **Southwest** area, this place is famed for its beef balls and rice noodle rolls. The prices are moderate, generally ranging from $4 to $10, and they also offer lunch specials which are a steal.

3. **Tea House**

For a more relaxed vibe, head over to **Tea House** in **Downtown**. The atmosphere here is cozy, perfect for gatherings. Their durian pastries are a personal favorite of mine, although they’re a bit pricier at around $6 to $9. Each bite is absolutely worth it!

Tips for Dim Sum Lovers

Dim sum on weekends can get super crowded, so I recommend making a reservation, especially at popular spots. If you're looking to avoid long waits, try going during the weekday—it's usually much less hectic. Want to discover more about Dallas dining?
