Side Hustles for the Chinese Community in Boston
Having lived in Boston for a few years, I’ve discovered that there are many side hustles perfect for the Chinese community. Whether you’re a student or a professional, there’s usually something that fits your schedule and skill set.
Food Delivery
I work near Harvard University, and I found that food delivery is a great option. Apps like DoorDash or UberEats are extremely popular here.
Translation or Tutoring
The harbor area has a large Chinese community, and many families look for translation services between Chinese and English. If you’re fluent in English, consider offering translation services.
Online Sales
Another option is selling unique local products in the Chinese market here in Boston. For example, you could sell handmade crafts or snacks brought from China.
Part-Time Jobs
Many restaurants and shops in Boston are frequently looking for part-time help. Especially in Chinatown, many Chinese restaurants are always in need of servers or kitchen assistants.
These are just a few of my personal experiences here in Boston, and I hope they inspire your side hustle journey! If you’re still looking for more job or side hustle information, check out PandaListing (熊猫榜) for further listings.
